Trucking Wellness had the privilege of being invited to attend the RFA Convention held in George. The convention provided an excellent opportunity for Trucking Wellness to showcase their new mobile wellness clinics. The display of the Mobile Clinics took place at the venue on May 26 and 27, 2023.
The presence of Trucking Wellness at the RFA Convention allowed for increased visibility and the participation of Trucking Wellness at the RFA Convention and the display of the new mobile wellness clinics served as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve the well-being of truck drivers and promote a culture of health and wellness within the industry.
2021 – COVID-19 Vaccination Programme
Trucking Wellness, in collaboration with the Ekurhuleni municipality, organized a COVID-19 vaccination campaign for members of NBCRFLI in the East Rand Region. The Ekurhuleni Department of Health (DOH) assessed Trucking Wellness onsite and were confident that Trucking Wellness adhered to all set protocols. Once training for staff was obtained rollout commenced together with the assistance of Ekurhuleni DOH. The first pilot mobile outreach site took place at Super Group from 21 to 29 July 2021 for NBCRFLI members. Trucking Wellness obtained support/permission from the Department of Health to continue with the outreach vaccination programme to other workplaces.
Trucking Wellness in partnership with Engen SA, The Road Freight Association, Department of Gauteng Roads and Transport, Gauteng Department of Health arranged the first pop-up vaccination Station at Engen Highveld 1 Stop on the R21 West from 6 to 10 September 2021 bringing Covid-19 vaccinations to the Transport Industry.
2020 – Trucking industry supports relief efforts in Mbazwana
The Road Freight Association (RFA) spearheaded the project to distribute rice secured from Thailand through the Trucking Wellness Programme (TWP).
