Mthatha Ultra City successfully hosted the launch of the Arrive Alive Safety Awareness Campaign in collaboration with the National Department of Transport. The event, which culminated on November 22, 2024, included a series of impactful activities aimed at promoting road safety and community health.
On November 4, 2024, a forecourt activation was held, featuring music and microphone announcements to engage attendees.
During the main celebration on November 22, the Mthatha Wellness Clinic was one of the key speakers, delivering a presentation from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM and distribute flyers. A mobile wellness clinic was also available throughout the event, providing wellness screenings to attendees and further enhancing community outreach.
This event successfully highlighted the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including the Department of Health, Department of Tourism, SAPS, Emergency Medical Services, and local community members, with extensive coverage by invited media houses.
